Review of Star Wars LEGO® BrickHeadz™ Obi-Wan Kenobi™ & Darth Vader™ (40547)

Another set of BrickHeadz for fans of both this theme and Star Wars theme. While this isn't the first time Darth Vader has been played on BrickHeadz, the depiction is different. Obi-Wan is the first time that it is reproduced within this theme.

Starting with Darth Vader.
Some interesting construction techniques, but within the usual of this theme. Despite not having the first LEGO version (I have a BrickHeadz Darth Vader, but it's a MOC), I did the comparison and I like this one better. Now let's talk about the eyes. Yes, they are dark red. Is weird! I even like the final look it looks like, but in the eyes of a fan of the theme, I still think that the use of black will be the best option.

Of course, if they don't like it, they easily exchange the 2 dark red pieces for 2 black ones. This model has 4 original stamped pieces, but so far LEGO has saved money, as 3 of them are reused from the first model. Only the piece used on the chest is different, but at least this one was worth it because I like the construction technique more than the old method, in which they printed on a single brick, without any construction technique. Otherwise, it looks like an almost exact copy of the first version.

Speaking now of Obi-Wan, the designers here worked very well. Lots of interesting building techniques (I've already used some of them on some of the BrickHeadz in my collection). I really liked the way the details of Obi-Wan's chest were achieved.

There was also innovation on the head, as official BrickHeadz don't have a mouth as a rule, but in this case the designers decided to do that by recreating the beard, which gives it a more real and interesting look. Otherwise, a simple construction, but well done.

The way the cover was recreated also gave BrickHeadz a good look. Pieces and value.

This set consists of 260 pieces and is selling for £17.99 / $19.99 / 19.99€, which gives a slightly high price per piece, but which is already common within this theme.
