For the younger ones, “The Mean Machine” referred here is not the 2001 Vinnie Jones movie, but instead one of the most iconic vehicles from the 1968 animated series, Wacky Races, which aired on our televisions from that time and at least until the end of the 80's.
For those who don't know, Wacky Races is an animated television series by Hanna-Barbera, where 11 vehicles equipped with many many gadgets competed against each other. And Mean Machine, the purple-colored car, belonged to the great villain Dick Dastardly and his dog and unmistakable laughing partner, Muttley, who obviously never won any races.
This build by GunnBuilding (Flickr) faithfully portrays the iconic Wacky Races number "00", with all its gimmicks and distinctive features, such as the top wing, round glass, and wheel spikes.
